I needed a palette cleanser after trying to get my Blood Angels battle ready for a tournament that I can no longer play in... so I painted this rascal.  Man, goblins are so much fun, especially these older models. 

I recently purchased the Goblin Hobbies Stampin' Kit after seeing the ads and how-to videos online. Brent from Goobertown Hobbies made it look super easy and I thought this could be the answer to painting clean Lamenters shoulder pads and eliminating the need for decals on other models. When the kit arrived, I gleefully started stamping some paper napkins in my kitchen. My early stamps weren't that great, but it was on paper and I was recklessly splogging nail polish everywhere so I wasn't worried about neatness or finesse or my success. After watching a few more tutorials and some nail art tutorials, I made some earnest attempts to make some new battleshock counters for my Blood Angels. This is my only non "character" model in my new Blood Angels Captain army (it has 23 characters) but I feel this battle brother was a Captain before he was interred in a dreadnought.  My friend Chase, who is an amazing player, loves my list and is building his own version. I haven't been happy with how my goblin green bases on my retro Blood Angels look. I think they are too bland and I've been searching for another solution where I wouldn't have to completely rebase the entire army. I've always wanted an arctic themed army (winter GI Joe's were some of my favorites) so I've been testing some options and I think I've settled on this base as my favorite. I'll use wet mud to cover the green sand. Then apply a light coat of static grass and larger rocks, followed by a coat of Terrains Snow and a few Ice Sparkles. Normally, I'm a big fan of Vallejo or MIG products but the Vallejo snow looked like cottage cheese, I couldn't get my hands on MIG basing effects, and the powder bits from Woodland Scenics or Army Painter don't look good in the tubs so I didn't bother spending the cash to try them out.  Let me know what you think!  #miniaturepainting #miniaturebases

It's bring your grot to Waagh day at the mob. In my now decades of playing Orks, this is the first Ork special character I've ever fielded. Honestly, I love his rules, but I kind of enjoyed not fielding a named ork and still being in the fight.
