I just finished this Space Wolves Vindicator for my Las Vegas Open army. The "casino cannon" has been pretty effective in my limited game play with it, so I hope it pays off at the LVO.

I just put on the finishing touches on 10 more Wolf Guard Terminators for my 2024 LVO army. With a terminator chaplain leading these guys, they are darn near unstoppable. Despite only having damage 1 on their lightning claws, they each have 5 attacks (with sustained hits from my saga,) AP 2, and twin linked. The Chaplain gives them +1 to wound. They hit on 2+ on my Oath of Moment target, and don't suffer any penalty to hit.  They sandpaper enemies to death. 

My Space Wolf Erradicators unit is complete and ready to join the pack! On a whim, I painted the yellow stripe on their helms and I really like how the pop of color works on the mostly flat Grey armor. I may have to add that to more models in my army. The road to the LVO inches closer!

This is what passes for Sky Claws these days. You can tell Darren Latham designed these because they are on their tippy-toes. He's a fantastic designer, but I hate the balance issue with these guys and I wish they were more flat footed. I've never liked the phrase, "tech" when talking about miniature games, units, or abilities. One of the reasons I enjoy the hobby is that it's not digital, I can get my hands dirty crafting models and playing games without a digital product and "tech" feels out of place.  However, I do need to tap into some useful units and I've added a squad of Jump Pack Intercessors to my Space Wolf  Great Company, the Storm Breakers. #Warhammer40k #spacewolves40k #vlkafenryka

I recently finished this Space Wolf Librarian, or Rune Priest for you long fangs. He's pretty top-heavy and easily gets knocked over due to the metal eagle. I've recently switched from oil washes to enamel washes for recess shading minis. They are very similar in use, but they are already mixed, just as easy to remove, and look fantastic. This Space Wolf Wulfen conversion I recently finished painting was a lot of fun to build and paint. I really don't like the regular Wulfen kit, but mixing it with a primarus torso and legs looks better in my eyes. Let me know what you think!  I missed the Kansas City Open this year and I likely would have brought my Space Wolf successor Great Company (called the Tempest Hounds for now.)

I just finished this Redemptor Dreadnought for my custom Space Wolf Great company. Any suggestions for a name? I was thinking, "the Howl" or "Ghost Wolves." It was the first time used only oils to shade and I think it's an improvement for me. Like most models, I spot all of the flaws I missed as soon as I post the photo here...

I've been inspired by thunderwulfen and caphminipainting (on Instagram) and I want to add more sculpted bits and weathering to my models in order to move away from the 'eavy metal style I usually paint. This is just my first step, but I'm happy with how this guy came out.  Of course, he's a Wolf Guard sergeant, the Vanguard Veteran equivalent for Space Wolves. 

Here's another of my recently finished Space Wolf Bladeguard Veterans.  It's an easy shield swap from the Wulfen, and I swapped out the iron halo for a Wulfen back pack topper - which actuality required a little cutting and sanding. I'm pleased with how he turned out, but the blade isn't my strongest work.

These Assault Intercessors are ready to replace a Blood Claw unit in my Space Wolves army. I've decided to change from the Sea Wolves Great Company and just make my own custom successor chapter/ Great Company. I don't have a name yet, but I love the Stormcast Eternals lightning bolt as a chapter badge. They also need a few more wolf bits and chains glued on, these are too stock.
