Blood Angels Lieutenant with Combi-weapon

This Lieutenant with combi-weapon brought a knife to a bug fight!  #Warhammer40k #spacemarines40 #bloodangels40k #lieutenantwithcombiweapon #paintingwarhammer

Lord Commander Dante, formerly of the 5th Company

Lord Commander Dante has entered the area of operations. I'm really glad I've decided to rebase my blood angels models. I think they look so much better on the snow, winter, arctic, tundra bases. #Warhammer40k #bloodangels40k #bloodangels #armageddon40k

The Sanguinor has arrived!

Who, or what, is the mysterious being, called the Herald or the Sanguinor, who arrives only in his brothers' greatest hour of need? The Sanguinor is shown here on my first arctic base, and I'm very pleased how he turned out, except for the wings. #Warhammer40k #bloodangels40k #sanguinor #bloodangels #astartes

New Snow Bases

I haven't been happy with how my goblin green bases on my retro Blood Angels look. I think they are too bland and I've been searching for another solution where I wouldn't have to completely rebase the entire army. I've always wanted an arctic themed army (winter GI Joe's were some of my favorites) so I've been testing some options and I think I've settled on this base as my favorite. I'll use wet mud to cover the green sand. Then apply a light coat of static grass and larger rocks, followed by a coat of Terrains Snow and a few Ice Sparkles. Normally, I'm a big fan of Vallejo or MIG products but the Vallejo snow looked like cottage cheese, I couldn't get my hands on MIG basing effects, and the powder bits from Woodland Scenics or Army Painter don't look good in the tubs so I didn't bother spending the cash to try them out.  Let me know what you think!  #miniaturepainting #miniaturebases
