Salamanders Bladeguard Veteran

My first completed Bladeguard Veteran for my Salamander army, the Hellbenders. My eyes must be getting worse because each photo of a mini I take, I just find more and more errors... #miniaturepainting #paintingwarhammer #new40k #spacemarines #astartes #salamanders40k #warhammercommunity #grimdark #28mm

Shield Captain on Dawneagle Jetbike

Here is a repaint/color test for my Shield-Captain on Dawneagle Jetbike for my custom shield host (that has yet to be named.) This model frustrated me because I thought it was pretty well painted, even for a test model, but when I zoomed in to the tiny details, it's a train wreck. However, I like the teal (nay Sotek Green) and how it compliments the orangey gold of Retributor Gold. #miniaturepainting #custodes #grimdark #warhammercommunity #adeptuscustodes #new40k #Warhammer40k #spacemarines

9th Edition Struggles

My deathstar ready to take fire from a traitor Sisters of Battle force.  The Apothecary is good but didn't pull his weight... My current group is rather small, but dedicated group of veteran and newbie players and in just not doing well against anyone.  I'm trying to prep for the Las Vegas Open this January. I've been playing the hell out of my Salamanders in preparation but I've also considered my Wolves, my oldhammer Crimson Fists, or a new Custodes list of Allarus Custodians that splinters into individual, 1-man units through the Unleash the Lions stratagem.  The recent Space Marine codex really beat up my favorite build of Salamanders that used scouts in my troop slots and Centurions as my primary damage dealers. Hobby Review - Speedball Pink Soap

This brush was washed in my water cup but it's not as clean as it appeared. Speedball Pink Soap is fantastic for getting that hard to see paint out of your brush, extending the life of your brush, and keeping that tip sharp! I think a quick wash in Pink Soap is a must after every time I paint. Even cheapo brushes will last longer and hold their shape. For the price of the soap, I probably save 10 to 20 times the cost in brush replacement. #miniaturepainting #hobbyreview #speedballart #speedball #painting
